Referral Criteria:
- Nocturnal (night time) Enuresis (wetting)
- Diurnal (day time) Enuresis (wetting)
- Dysuria
- Frequency and urgency of micturition
- Constipation
- Faecal Incontinence (soiling)
The age ranges accepted by the service are:
- Children/young people aged 2 to 16 years with constipation and soiling, 4 to 16 years with day wetting, frequency and urgency, and 5 to 16 years with night wetting.
- Young people with learning difficulties can be seen up to the age of 19 years.
Exclusions: Hampshire Place Practices should refer patients in Year R to Year 6 to the Hampshire Paediatric Continence Service (see below).
The following referrals should continue to be sent to the hospital:
- Hypertension
- Haematuria
- Proteinuria.
NOTE: Parents can re-refer themselves if it is within a year of their initial treatment and discharge.
Available to all Hampshire Place Practices.
Age Range: Year R to Year 6.
Will see patients who are home educated. They will not see patient’s who are educated in the specialist schools.
Level 1 Service.
