All services require the following tests to be attached to a referral:

Male
Semen Analysis

Female

  • Rubella status in past 12 months
  • Chlamydia screen in past 12 months
  • BMI

Regular periods

  • FSH
  • LH
  • Oestradiol (d1-4)
  • Progesterone (d21)

Irregular periods

  • FSH
  • LH
  • Oestradiol
  • Testosterone
  • TFTs
  • Prolactin
  • NO NEED FOR PROGESTERONE LEVEL

Referrals are made through Advice & Guidance to Gynaecology on eRS

NHS referrals are made on eRS to Complete Fertility – Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (Triage)

If the blood test shows that Rubella antibody is not detected, evidence of 2 MMR vaccinations is required in addition to other results.

Those not entitled to NHS investigations or treatment can be referred to the private service via www.completefertility.co.uk. This includes IVF, ICSI, IUI, fertility counselling, and pregnancy wellbeing scans.
