The Sexual Health Service in Solent NHS Trust is the sole provider of vasectomies for all men in Hampshire including Portsmouth and Southampton cities.
In West Hampshire the sites we have for vasectomy operations are as follows:
- Bishops Waltham: Dr D Procter: Bishops Waltham Surgery
- Fordingbridge: Dr T Wallis: Fordingbridge surgery
- Southampton: Dr D Procter: Aldermoor surgery
- Southampton: Variety of doctors led by Dr C Taylor: Royal South Hants Hospital
- Titchfield: Mr L Solomon: Jubilee surgery
Solent no longer accepts any self-referrals. All men requesting a vasectomy should therefore be referred to this service using NHS e-referrals:
Speciality “Urology” > Clinic Type “Vasectomy”
Select: Solent Vasectomy Service – Solent NHS Trust – R1C. GPs must upload a supporting letter or a completed referral proforma.
Patients requesting or needing a general anaesthetic should also be referred to Solent Vasectomy service. Solent NHS Trust will be responsible for making all onward referrals for general anaesthetic procedures for those patients requiring acute hospital treatment.
