Resource
Dear colleagues
This is a gentle reminder to book your spaces at the Let Our Voices Be Heard event on 14 October as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
The Southampton Safeguarding Children’s Partnership will be holding an event in the Mick Channon Suite at St Mary’s Stadium on 14 October 2024 between 09:00-17:00 (registration opens at 08:30) entitled “Let Our Voices Be Heard”.
The Let Our Voices Be Heard Event is an opportunity for everyone working with children, young people and their families to come together to look at the work being undertaken in Southampton, and reflect on the resources that are available. The event will focus particularly on the Southampton Safeguarding Children’s Partnership’s strategic priorities, and will look at areas including neglect, serious youth violence, exploitation, child sexual abuse, the participation in education, and ensuring that the right service is provided at the right time.
Children, young people and their families are at the heart of the work that we do, and attendees will be encouraged to consider the voice and views of children, young people and their families throughout the day. Children, young people and their families have been consulted with throughout the planning of this event, and will play a part throughout the day.
A number of services and organisations will have stalls at the event, and attendees will be given the opportunity throughout the day to visit these stalls to see what services are available in Southampton, and what work is being done with children, young people and their families.
