What will cease
- Orthopaedic Choice (except urgent triage as in line with national guidelines)
- Routine ENT appointments
- Diabetes Education Sessions
- Pulmonary Rehabilitation
- Routine Therapy – MSK, Podiatry, Hand Therapy, Pain Service
- Continence Assessments
- Dietetic Clinics
- Parkinson’s routine Clinic
- Dexa Scanning
- Routine endoscopy
- Falls assessments and clinics
- Falls classes
- 6/12 Follow up stroke assessment
- All routine Medical OPD – respiratory, cardiology, medical etc.
- Routine bloods
- Outpatient routine diagnostics – 24 hour tapes, Plain film X-ray, MRI, CT, Ultra scan
- Routine rehabilitation in community
- Routine wound clinics
- Medicine or dressing deliveries
- CHC applications for nursing home placements
- Pressure Ulcer panels
Alternative Support
- Self-care packs in relation to wound care given to all Care Homes
What services can be delayed the frequency guidelines (case by case)?
- Catheter care- move from 3/12 to 6/12
- Vitamin B12 injections – move from 3/12 -6/12
- HEN service reviews lengthened or remotely review for complex cases
- Extend dressings length of time? Washable etc. TNP – pressure rate and lengthen dressing change
- Essential rehabilitation for discharge only
- PICC Lines – move from 7/7 – 10/7
- Bowel care not twice daily – or teach family/carers
- Depot injections – Prostap/ Denusomab/ Epoetin/ Zoladex
- CHC FastTrack provision assessments
- Nephrostomy care
Critical Service priorities
- EOL – syringe driver management, symptom management
- Insulin Injections
- Oxygen assessment and provision
- Admission avoidance
- Blocked catheter
- OPMH Depot injections
- Clexane/ Daltaparin injections – ?given an oral anticoagulant alternative
- Complex Wounds (as in line with national guidance)
